Loading, unloading and marshalling aircraft at our Whakatane Airport base. The position will be made up of shifts between the hours of 7:00am and 7:00pm including some weekend work.
Full training, parking, overalls and safety clothing will be provided for the successful applicant.
You will be physically fit, very safety conscious, hold a current Full or Restricted Drivers License and enjoy working in the team environment of Air Chathams.
Working airside requires that you pass an Aviation Security Check .
Flexibility is an essential as you may be required to stay later in the case of a disruption of flights.
Air Chathams also requires casual staff to fill in over busy periods, sickness and holidays with the possibility of training in reservations as well. We are always happy to discuss possibilities with the right candidates.
The ability to work under pressure is important as well has having a professional approach and good organisational and time management details. Excellent attention to detail and some experience in a manual labour industry would be an advantage.
Air Chathams was founded in 1984 and operates scheduled flights between Auckland and the Chatham Islands, Whakatane, Whanganui and the Kapiti Coast, the Chatham Islands to Wellington and Christchurch and charter flights throughout New Zealand and the Pacific.
