Scenic Flights

Air Chathams has a standard scenic flight package which covers most of the prominent geographical features of the Chathams. 
The package consists of a 45 min flight covering the following places of interest:

• Owenga
• Pitt Island
• South East Island
• Mangere Island
• The Horns
• Waitangi

The aircraft used is a Cessna 206 (shown in the above photo), which seats 5 passengers, and provides great visibility below the aircraft due to its high wing design.
The standard package allows ample time to take in all the best features of the Chatham Island's landscape, and provide many great photographic opportunities. 
It is also a great way to see the various nesting birds that are only found on the isolated rocky outcrops off the coast of Chatham & Pitt Islands.

Costing

The scenic package costs $130 per person, with a minimum of 5 passengers required.

As an alternative it is also possible to charter the aircraft at its standard scenic rate of $640 per flying hour.
When chartering the aircraft for a scenic flight customers can elect to land at the airfield on Pitt Island, with a cost of $60 per hour the aircraft is required to wait for you on the airstrip at Pitt.
